The event will honor Donald and Faye Washington, Jean Ann Durades, Babatunde Lea, Douglas R. Ewart, Janis Lane Ewart, Seitu Jones, Carolyn Holbrook, Ta-coumba Aiken and Louis Alemayehu, community elders who have left a distinct impact on the artistic culture of cities in the upper midwest.
